National Police station Malaga – Foreigner’s office

If you live near Málaga or surrounding inland areas, your appointments for NIE, EU residency and TIE cards will be at the Foreigner’s Office (Extranjería) of the National Police (Comisaria de Policía) in Málaga city.

The address is:
Plaza de Manuel Azaña, 3, 29006 Málaga

Although parking can be quite difficult in the area, there are a few options close by.

Carrefour – Alameda which is just a short 5-minute walk away offers ample free parking:

On the opposite side of the road to the Police Station, in sight of the front door there is also free parking and Zebra crossings to reach the Police station.

Finally, at the rear of the Police Station behind the bar El Rincón de Juancho, there is a residential area, and you can normally find parking there with the help of local parking attendants who will request a euro, so make sure you have one handy!

If you prefer not to drive into Malaga, most train and bus services will bring you to the main central stations, and it’s just a quick Taxi, Uber or Bolt ride to the Police Station.

It’s best to arrive early to avoid delays, and there are plenty of local bars to enjoy a coffee or a tapa if you need to wait.

We like to meet with clients at least 15 minutes before the appointment time to go through the application process – and most importantly, don’t forget your passport!

Appointments are available throughout the day, so be sure to take some time to explore this glorious city while you’re there.
