National Police station Baza (Granada) – Foreigner’s office

If you live near Baza or surrounding areas, your appointment for your TIE card will be at the Foreigner’s Office (Extranjería) of the National Police Station (Comisaria de Policía) in Baza city centre.

The building itself wouldn’t look out of place in a Harry Potter movie. Unlike the modern buildings in Almeria or Marbella, this ‘extranjería’ is a fantastic example of what all National Police stations used to be like, complete with a tiny waiting room and Hobbit-style door leading to the waiting corridor. If you are lucky enough to live in the area, it is an experience you won’t forget.

The address is:

Calle Alhóndiga, 18, 18800 Baza, Granada

Parking can be quite difficult in the area, so it’s best to arrive early. There’s an excellent underground carpark just a 10-minute walk from the Police Station.
Here is a LINK to Google Maps for the car park and the address is Calle Don Enrique Enríquez, 18800 Baza, Granada

We’ll email full details of the documents you’ll need with your appointment booking, and a few days beforehand, we’ll send details of the meet up point and contact information for the appointment specialist who’ll be meeting you at the Police Station.

Most importantly, don’t forget your passport and if you’re renewing, be sure to bring your old TIE card as well.

Appointments are available mainly in the morning, so be sure to take some time to explore this glorious city while you’re there. Or you could even stay the night and stroll around the old town and enjoy a plate of the typical local dish ‘Gurupina’
