It’s essential that you get Spanish Residency if you plan to stay in Spain for more than 90 days.
For EU citizens and family members, you have to register in Spain as a resident if you intend to spend more than 90 days in the country. In some cases, non-EU citizens can associate themselves with an EU spouse or parent if they wish to become resident in Spain.
British citizens wishing to reside in Spain after 1st January 2021 fall into the third country national (TCN) category as they are no longer covered by the Withdrawal Agreement. This means UK passport holders now need to meet visa requirements. We are working on a package to assist British citizens who wish to register as legally resident in Spain under non-EU conditions.
4 Stage Approach
At Upsticks we know what information the police want and need to see as well as how they want to see it presented. With this in mind, we always follow our 3-stage presentation approach following initial application:
As our clients you can have as much or as little involvement in the process as you choose. We’re happy to meet you in person or have a free 15 minute consultation call to answer any questions ahead of starting the process.
During the process we will warn you of any expected objections based on your application and will let you know how we will deal with those objections to keep you in the loop throughout.
