If you live in Elche and surrounding areas, then your NIE, EU residency or TIE card appointment will be at the Foreigner’s Office (Extranjeria) of the National Police Station (Comisaria de Policia) in Elche.
The address is:
CNP Elche, El Abeto 1 Elche 03202
Here’s a Google Maps link
There is ample free street parking, though you may have to drive around a couple of times. Google Maps takes you to straight to the front door and as you drive up, if the office is on your right-hand side, swing round to the right and parking is available on the adjacent road.
Various bus routes will drop you close by and the Radio Taxi Elche offers online booking.
Wheelchair access is also good.
Once you arrive at the office, there is a table outside which is attended to by an agent and you can just walk straight in. You will need to stand in the queue slightly off to the left to identify yourself to the agent, who will give you a ticket confirming the appointment. This ticket will have a number on it, and you will be asked to stand to the right-hand side and watch for your number coming up on a screen above the table. When your number appears, you head over to the table or ‘mesa’ indicated, on the screen.
It’s worth remembering that it gets pretty hot in summer, so take a drink of water with you while you wait outside, also wrap up warm in the winter months.
We’ll email full details of the documents you’ll need with your appointment booking, and a few days beforehand, we’ll send details of the meet up point and contact information for the appointment specialist who’ll be meeting you at the Police Station.
Most importantly, don’t forget your passport and if you’re renewing, you’ll need to bring your TIE card as well.
As all appointments are in the morning, why not take the afternoon to sight-see in this impressive city.
Visit the world-famous Basilica de Santa Maria with its gleaming blue domes, go interactive at the fascinating Palace de Altamira museum or shop ’till you drop’ at the biggest shoe outlet in Europe Elche Business Park.
